Location
El Encinar is a luxury residential estate that is 11.8 kilometres from Madrid. It shares its northern boundary with La Moraleja and its origins are linked to the Torrejón de Ardoz air base. This was where the American military and their families lived for 34 years in a distinctly American atmosphere. In 1992, however, it was transferred back to Spain and the process of making it what it is today began.
